Our History

Amanda and Matthew Birch were married May 16th 2003. The following spring they founded Birch Accounting & Tax Services for the purpose of helping friends and family that were in need of bookkeeping and income tax preparation. In that year we prepared 10 tax returns and compiled the bookkeeping for one small business. In the years that followed our business has experienced steady growth mainly through referrals.

In 2005 their first son Aaron was born and in the years that followed they have had two more (Brendan was born in 2008 and Carter was born in 2011). As their family has grown so too has their business. They have made it their goal to create a professional yet family oriented environment that caters to the largest segment of their customer base, that being young families.

Today, Birch Accounting & Tax Services helps hundreds of individuals annually to file their tax returns and helps dozens of small businesses with all of their accounting needs from bookkeeping to payroll, and statistical analysis and writing of business plans to income tax preparation. We enjoy serving our customers of all sizes and continually strive to provide them with an enjoyable experience.

Our Mission

At Birch Accounting & Tax Services our mission is to provide all our customers with an experience that is both professional and comfortable whether individuals with requiring basic personal income tax preparation, small businesses requiring bookkeeping and payroll, large customers looking for assistance in streamlining business processes and procedures or anything in between.

Our Vision

In 2014 Birch Accounting and Tax Services will serve 5,000 individuals assisting them with the preparation of their annual income tax preparation and 500 small businesses with all of their accounting needs. We will be known by exceptional customer service with a personal touch, by providing a professional yet comfortable customer experience, and by a quality of work that is second to none.
